Zeiss Observer Z1 | Human Genetics Institute of New Jersey Skip to main content

An advanced inverted fluorescence microscope with motorized stage and two AxioCam cameras (MRc for color and MRm for fluorescence). A new illumination system (Lumen 200; PRIOR) is a long lasting 200 watt metal arc lamp known for its extended transmission in UV and IR. There are four fluorescence filter sets, DAPI, GFP, Texas Red and Cy5 for multi-fluorescence imaging. Selection of objective lenses is suitable for live cell imaging through a culture dish and they include EC-Plan Neofluar 10x, LD-Plan Neofluar 20x, Plan Apochromat 20x/N.A.0.8 and LD-Plan Neofluar 40x long working distance/phase contrast lenses. Axiovision ver. 4.8 is versatile and programmable acquisition software and the applications include automatic multi-fluorescence, timelapse and tile imaging (Mosaix).
