Zeiss Observer Z1

An advanced inverted fluorescence microscope with motorized stage and two AxioCam cameras. A long lasting 200 watt metal arc lamp illumination source known for its extended transmission in UV and IR. There are four fluorescence filter sets for multi-fluorescence imaging. Selection of objective lenses suitable for live cell imaging through a culture dish.

Zeiss LSM 880 with Airyscan FAST

Zeiss LSM880 with Airyscan FAST, a high-end confocal laser scanning system with a patented Airyscan high-resolution detector, which gives 1.7 fold improvement of optical resolution in X-Y and Z directions (obtained by Maureen Barr’s lab in July 2018).

Zeiss LSM 800 with Airyscan

The Zeiss LSM800 point scanning confocal microscope tailors to a broad range of applications in the research environment and is equipped with an Airyscan module that delivers 1.7 times higher resolution than conventional confocal microscopes.

Zeiss LSM 510 META (Inverted)

A laser scanning system built on an Axiovert 200M microscope stand equipped with a high-precision motorized XY stage, with "Mark & Find" functions. The system has four Zeiss objective lenses, three single channel PMT detectors and META, a polychromatic 32-channel detector for spectral imaging/emission fingerprinting. The system is equipped with 4 lasers from visible to far red excitation range.

Zeiss Axiovert 200M

An inverted fluorescence microscope with motorized Z-axis acquisition and a filter wheel with DAPI, GFP, Texas Red and bright field. The system is equipped with sensitive Retiga-SRV (Q-Imaging) CCD camera for high resolution/low-light detection. Good for fixed cell specimens and chromosome/karyo-type imaging.

Nikon Eclipse E800

An upright bright-field microscope equipped with a CCD color camera for true-color imaging. The system camera, Lumenera 3-3URC offers high-sensitive Sony ICX674 CCD sensor, 2.8 megapixel resolution and high-speed USB 3.0 interphase. The basic acquisition software is “INFINITY CAPTURE” and optimized for histology-stained specimens.

Leica Confocal TCS SP8 with Lightning

A point-scanning confocal imaging system, built on an inverted DMi8 microscope which is equipped with an XYZ motorized stage enabling easy sample navigation, multiposition imaging and tiling. The system is equipped with four diode lasers (405, 488, 561 and 638 nm) and 4 channel detection, including 2 standard PMT and 2 hybrid detectors (HyDs) with enhanced sensitivity and excellent signal-to-noise ratio. Also equipped with Lightning, a resolution-enhancing deconvolution strategy. Live cell imaging also possible on this system, as it is accessorized with a Tokai Hit stagetop environmental chamber.

Leica SP8 STED 3X

A point scanning confocal microscope built on an inverted DMi8 stand which includes a motorized XYZ stage for easy navigation and multiposition imaging. The system is equipped with a 405 nm, 440 nm and a white light laser (WLL), which allows any excitation wavelength between 470 nm – 670 nm to be selected for imaging. Also included are 5 spectral detectors (2 standard PMT, 3 GaAsP HyDs) and a transmitted light detector. Additional capabilities on this system are STED (STimulated Emission Depletion) super-resolution imaging, allowing lateral resolution down to 40 nm and axial resolution to 120 nm. This system is also capable of fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) and FRET.

Bitplane Imaris Software

The Imaris package includes Imaris Core, MesurementPro, Coloc, Vantage, TrackLineage, Filament Tracer, XT, and Imaris Stitcher for advanced 3/4D image analysis. The package provides featuring state of the art volume rendering, object detection, colocalization, neuron tracing, and advanced tracking tools to generate quantitative information from image data.
